Is minton really free?
Yes — free forever for players. No fees, no premium tier.
Do I need to install an app?
No. It runs in any modern browser on iPhone or Android. Open bad.minton.team or scan the QR at the hall.
I'm a beginner — is it for me?
Yes. You're matched with players at your level, so games stay fun.
Will others see my level or a ranking?
Your level shows in the system you know. Rankings are opt-in: off by default, in the circles you choose, and you can leave any time.
For organizers
What does it cost me?
Nothing. Free for organizers and your players — always.
Do I change how I run my night?
No. Players check in by QR and you keep control.
Does money go through the app?
No. minton never handles payments or prizes. You can tick who has paid, nothing more.
Can I run tournaments?
Yes — social mixers and hybrid events from qualification to finals, up to 120 players.
For venues
What does it cost my hall?
Nothing. We don't take a cut of your court fees.
Is my hall locked in?
No contract, no lock-in. Stop whenever you want.
How do players find our nights?
They find your groups in Discover and join by scanning your QR; regulars keep their spot.
For clubs
Is minton for training or for free play?
For both kinds of club night where people rotate: free play, open play-nights and mixed-level sessions. Your structured training stays as it is.
Which level system does minton show in Germany?
The nine levels in four categories that club players know: Beginner (1–2), Recreational (3–4), Club (5–6) and Competitive (7–9).
What about data protection?
Players can play as guests without an account. Rankings are opt-in, and there is no map of people — only places.
What does it cost the club?
Nothing. minton is free for clubs and members, with no contract.
For coaches
What does coaching on minton cost?
Nothing. Coaching is free for coaches and their students.
Do course fees run through minton?
No. You collect fees as you do now; minton only shows a paid tick and a receipt.
Can I coach juniors?
Yes. Juniors have a contact person, photos need consent, and there is no private one-to-one channel between adults and children.
